Don’t even try to convince me there’s no patriarchy or gender stereotypes until you show me an even number of romcoms featuring a girl nervously puking on a boy as there are romcoms featuring a boy nervously puking on a girl. That said, we could also stand to dismantle the heteronormative “girl meets boy” story and add in some girls puking on girls, boys puking on boys, etc.
